n that moment, nothing else matters to the child.  To them, all that matters is whatever they were thinking about and any interruption to it is a threat.  By not conceptualizing and seeing the big picture, children will focus all their attention on continuing the activity they were engaged in.  This usually comes across as seeing the child or adult as not being able to focus, then getting labeled ADHD or ADD.
