Is your Child Dyslexic?

Is your Child Dyslexic?

Did you know that dyslexia is one of the most common learning difficulties affecting children and adults?

It is now estimated that about 17 percent of the population is dyslexic.

People who have dyslexia usually struggle with reading, writing, and spelling.

They tend to excel in other areas in school and work and show signs of very high intelligence. Throughout this article, we will give you some quick tests to check if your child may be dyslexic.

We will also explain dyslexia in more detail and show you some benefits (yes, there are some benefits) to having dyslexia

One of the telltale signs that your child (or you) has dyslexia is the reversal of letters or words.

They may see b as d or see the word “was” instead of “saw”.

They lack the neuron connections in the brain that tell them what the order of letters should be as they read. This can also be classified as a visual processing disorder.

As you can imagine, it makes reading comprehension almost impossible.

Other signs of dyslexia can be excessively sloppy handwriting and poor time management.

These symptoms are not definitive as dyslexia, but maybe a sign of it.

There are a variety of tests one that can be taken to see if you or your child has dyslexia.

Surprisingly, there are benefits to dyslexia.

One of the great ones is the ability to think in 3D. Often times your child (or you) will have very detailed memories of certain events or locations they attended.

The ability to think in 3D can be very beneficial, but the 2D world where most of the school takes place can be very difficult. Certain jobs are tailor-made for people with dyslexia.

Imagine being a contractor and being able to have a complete 3D image of the house or structure you’re building in your head.

They may not be able to read a blueprint, but to them, it might not be necessary (they’ve already got a clear picture).

It has been estimated that around 20 percent of CEOs and self-made millionaires are dyslexic.

What’s more, it is estimated that about 40 percent of prison inmates are dyslexic.

Those statistics prove that there can be a great success or painful frustration. If someone can harness the true potential of their dyslexia, they can be very successful.

This can be accomplished with academic tutoring and brain training - building the required neurons needed to fully function in any environment.

There are many symptoms of dyslexia that make school very difficult. There are also some great benefits of dyslexia. If you can control the negative and focus on the positive, being dyslexic can be a great advantage in life.

A Neurodevelopment program can rewire the brain, making academics easier.

With the right tutoring program or dyslexia tutoring program, great success can be achieved.
